ABSENTIA is a solo project of Jerzy "Irbis" Gorczyca, originally a self taught graphic designer, and since 2002, also a musician. From thes beginning, the music project, was dedicated to investigate the human psyche, and it's imperfections. Music evolution of ABSENTIA started from light dark ambient with cacophony elements, nowadays it's more harsh, rythm-based industrial / dark ambient / noise. In 2005, the "Waiting" album was created and started a 2nd era of the project. At that time Jerzy "Irbis" Gorczyca decides to create something more out of ABSENTIA, then just a project for self pleasure. New expression of the music is intensified by a series of graphics, relenishing the music in an attempt of contemplating the anticipated changes. The album is a record of moments suspdended in time and space, fear captured by sound, uncertainty and revery. A score of minutes becoming infinity... Nowadays ABSENTIA is preparing a new material "Personality", which will be also followed up by a series of graphics.
